About Us
AquaSafe Swim School provides Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, and Mesa families with an alternative to 'typical' swim lessons. We proudly provide year-round, small group instruction in our warm indoor swimming pool where parents can watch their children's progress from the comfortable viewing gallery. Our instructors are experienced, caring professionals who have a passion for teaching swimming and water safety.
Our state-of-the-art salt sanitation system lets your child swim in a sparkling-clean pool without the chlorine effects of red eyes, itchy skin, green hair, or sensitivity to chlorine in the air.

The mission of AquaSafe Swim School is to foster a love for swimming and a respect for water in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Our Philosophy
Teaching children to be safe in and around water is our number one priority - particularly in a city where almost every house has a swimming pool. We not only have to protect our children in our own homes, but in other homes as well. In addition to teaching children to swim, we provide their parents with helpful safety information.
Our swim school provides year-round swimming lessons. As with any progressively-learned skill, success does not come in two weeks or even eight weeks of lessons. Learning to swim is a life-long skill. At AquaSafe, our classes are on-going. Most of our students attend one, often two days a week, all year long.
Family Owned
Gail Spivey, the school's owner, has assembled a team whose combined experience, training, and enthusiasm are unequaled in the Valley.
Gail has always had a passion for swimming since childhood. As a teenager, she was a swim instructor and volunteer lifeguard for the Boys and Girls Clubs in Indiana, as well as for the Senior Citizen Center. She graduated from Purdue University in 1986 and spent the next 16 years working in the oil industry. Her last 5 years were her most rewarding, where she was the national safety director for the retail division. Her knowledge of safety coupled with her passion for swimming led her to where she is today as the owner of AquaSafe. She and her husband Tom have two young daughters, Abbey and Elise and a son, Sam, (who have also inherited their mother's love of the water!). "I am so proud of the team that we've assembled. Safety is Priority #1
- At AquaSafe, making kids safer in water is our top priority
- We offer Free CPR classes to the parents, grandparents, baby sitters, etc. of our students
- Twice a year, we invite our families to Safety Day, where children enter the water fully clothed, exposing them to how it feels should they accidently fall into a body of water in clothing
- We educate and discuss safety with our students during classes
